Stop Smoking – quit the poison

A hand crushing cigarettes

I can help you quit smoking in one extended session .. just convince me you wish to quit and know what you think is holding you back.   I cherry-pick who I help so, if you just want to “give it a try”, “I want to quite for someone else”,  or “I enjoy it” then you are unlikely to quit smoking and I won’t be taking you on.

Hypnosis is not a magic bullet.  It can boost your confidence to achieve a smoke-free state, however, it can be sabotaged by you, you were created with free-will. Have you ever been so involved in a task that you have lost track of time? Have you ever driven from one place to another and arrived safely, but not remembered the journey? Have you ever read a book and become so involved with the plot that you can see

Smoking remains the largest preventable cause of premature death and disability in the UK. Tobacco smoking kills more than 12,000 people a year – more than 13 people an hour. 25% of these deaths occur between the ages of 35 and 65.  Can you imagine a jumbo jet full of people dying just because they were smokers?

Smoking is known to be a major cause of heart disease, strokes and lung cancer, and contributes to a wide range of other illnesses.

What will you experience during hypnosis?
Have you ever been so involved in a task that you have lost track of time? Have you ever driven from one place to another and arrived safely, but not remembered the journey? Have you ever read a book and become so involved with the plot that you can see the scenery and hear characters speak? Have you ever day-dreamed? These are everyday examples of an altered state of awareness.

Hypnosis is another example of an altered state of awareness – one that can be used for self help. It is a perfectly natural state that occurs between being fully awake and fully asleep. In the clinical setting, hypnosis is usually accompanied by a pleasant state of physical relaxation that in itself is beneficial, especially in the symptoms induced or aggravated by stress.

It is important to note that no-one can be hypnotised against their will and no-one can be forced to do things under hypnosis that they do not want to do.

Hypnotherapy is completely natural and safe. When administered by a professionally trained and skilled Hypnotherapist, the benefits are usually long lasting and often permanent.
